The Plumed Serpent by altermentality
Lord of the sky and the earth, bring us the vision to see the gods, but so too the world around us with new clarity.

--------------

Quetzalcoatl.

After learning about him and other Mesoamerican dieties in Academic Decathlon this year (the theme being Latin America), he has become a muse to me. I draw him all the time in various forms.

I always thought the prehispanic Mesoamerican cultures and their art were interesting, but I'm grateful that this year I got to study it relatively closely and realize just how inspiring and wonderful it is.

The smoke wisp coming from his mouth indicates communication in traditional Mesoamerican art.
